Water-Based Transparent Cement for High Grade Scale Model [CA-089]

This product allows you to securely attach clear or plated plastic model parts, which are otherwise prone to clouding or becoming soiled, while maintaining their pristine appearance.

Being a solvent-free, water-based adhesive, it causes no damage to the parts, and any excess can be wiped away with water before it dries.

As it cures through the evaporation of its water content, it requires a period of time to set.

* Do not use for bonding precious metals or high-value items.
* Do not use for bonding or repairing items that will come into direct contact with skin, food, or beverages.
* Sufficient bonding strength cannot be achieved for items with small contact surfaces (such as eyeglass frames).
* Do not use for containers intended to hold living organisms.

Materials that cannot be bonded:

• Soft PVC, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Nylon, PET Resin, Various engineering plastics, Silicone Rubber, Fluororesin, Polyacetal, etc.

How to Use/Application Methods:

Not all adhesives work simply by applying them and pressing the parts together.

• Single-sided: Apply to one surface and join immediately.
  
• Double-sided: Apply to both surfaces, let dry, then join.
  
• Mixed: Combine two components, apply, and join immediately.

1. Clean the surfaces to be bonded—removing dust, oil, or other debris—and ensure they are completely dry.
2. Apply a thin, even layer to one of the surfaces. For small parts, dispense a small amount onto a piece of paper and apply it using a toothpick.
3. Place the part in the desired position and leave it undisturbed until dry. If possible, use tape to hold it in place temporarily.
4. The bond will set in 2–3 hours.

*When bonding large metal or plastic parts (roughly the size of a 1-yen coin), apply a thin layer to both surfaces, wait about 2 minutes for it to dry slightly, and then join the parts together.
*Be careful not to apply too much, as this may prevent the adhesive from curing properly.
*Since this is not a solvent-welding type adhesive, the bonded joints cannot be sanded or reshaped using sandpaper.
* Paint applied over adhesive may peel off.

Precautions:

• Use and store at temperatures of 5°C or higher.
• Do not use near open flames.
• Ensure good ventilation during use and for some time afterward.
• Keep out of reach of children and ensure they do not tamper with the product.
• Do not use for any purpose other than bonding.
• Store in a cool place, away from direct sunlight.
• Once the contents are completely used up, dispose of the container as non-combustible waste in accordance with local municipal regulations.

First Aid:

• If the product comes into contact with your skin, wipe it off immediately and wash thoroughly with soap.

• If the product enters your eyes, do not rub them; flush with plenty of water and seek immediate medical attention.
• If swallowed, rinse your mouth immediately and seek medical attention.
• If you experience symptoms such as itching or inflammation, stop using the product immediately and consult a physician.
