Released in 1984, it led the RC buggy boom of the 1980s. The Grasshopper is a Tamiya RC icon that has been beloved for 40 years since its debut.

The Grasshopper Jr. has been turned into a Mini 4WD model, retaining its simple form and nimble performance, while retaining the RC atmosphere.

Not only does it have a slim style reminiscent of a full-sized single-seater buggy, but it also features realistically reproduced fog lights and front suspension, and a driver figure is included in the cockpit surrounded by a roll bar.

The VZ chassis further refines the performance of the popular VS chassis, which is also used in races due to its small size, light weight, and short wheelbase.

While retaining the excellent features of the VS chassis, such as maneuverability and ease of maintenance, the VZ chassis has increased the strength of the bumper, rear stay base, propeller shaft bearing, and other components.

It also has just the right amount of flex to absorb impacts.

In addition to the rear roller stays, the front bumper can also be separated, greatly increasing the degree of freedom in setting options.

The shaft bearings use 620 plastic bearings made from POM resin, which has low friction resistance.

The chassis itself and A parts such as the gear cover are both made from black ABS resin.

The gear ratio is set to 4.2:1.
