Description
Mr. Weathering Color WC01 - WC18
This is a paint based on oil paint that spreads easily and is used to add dirt to painted plastic models to make them look more realistic.
It can be used for a wide range of purposes, such as shading and washing.
It can be used alone or mixed with other paints in the series.
Each color was supervised by modeler Kazuya Yoshioka, and is a versatile color that can be used on a variety of scale models.
*Please use the dedicated Mr. Weathering Color Thinner for dilution and maintenance of tools.
*Although polystyrene resin is designed to be relatively hard to break, cracks and damage may occur. Avoid applying a lot of paint or thinner at once. We also recommend that you dry it thoroughly before using another weathering paint.
*The bottle contains a stainless steel ball for stirring. Please be careful not to shake it too hard as it may damage the bottle.
*The cap does not come with a brush, but you can attach the GT117 Mr. Glue Brush Set (10 pieces) sold separately.
*WC09-13 is a filtering liquid series for filtering.
*Cannot be mixed with water-based weathering paint.
*The caps of our products are tightly closed to prevent leakage.
When opening the cap, if you try to open it forcefully, your fingers may be hurt.
If the cap seems tight, please be careful to open it safely, for example by using a cloth that you don't mind getting dirty.
Paint base compatibility:
Mr. Color ○ OK!
Water-based hobby color ○ OK!
Acrysion ○ OK!
Direct application to plastic models ○ OK!
*If the base is glossy, the weathering applied will not adhere easily.
The weathering will adhere more easily if you use it over semi-gloss/matte paint, or after applying a semi-gloss/matte clear coat over the base.
However, please note that once the weathering has adhered, it will be difficult to remove using a special thinner.
WC01 ~ WC08
Special paint for weathering presentation based on oil paint material. Black intended for shadowing or soot is highly versatile.
It can be used on its own, but brightness can be adjusted by mixing it with other colors.
It is possible to apply this over the base color of Mr. Color, water-based hobby color and Acrysion color.
- Rich brown intended to replicate soil stains or rust. It enhances the reality of work when used for inking in.
- Brown with high brightness intended to replicate oil stains or rust. It can reproduce the effect of running liquid stains when it is used to draw on the surface.
- Yellow ocher intended to replicate the look of attached sand. The look of fugitive dust buildup can be reproduced by applying it on the surface using a flat brush.
WC09 ~ WC13
Dedicated filtering colors have been added to the lineup of Mr. WEATHERING COLOR. When this is applied broadly using a flat brush, etc. on a surface painted with basic color and then wiped off lightly with cotton buds, etc., the color tone on the painted surface can be matched and shading or shadowing can be added to enhance 3D appearance.
*Filtering: Painting method to replicate fading of coating.
