Description
Acrylicos Vallejo True Metallic Metal

True Metallic Metal (TMM) is a painting technique that aims to represent realistic metallic surfaces using paints with actual metallic pigment - rather than simulating metal with flat colors, as in Non Metallic Metal (NMM).
TMM achieves natural reflections and visually striking results with less painterly artifice, preserving the material richness of metal in miniature form.
But painting with TMM requires more than just metallic paint.
It involves applying traditional principles of light, shadow, and volume - working with blends, transitions, and contrast as you would with any non-metallic surface.
Through a clear and consistent approach based on the BSL model (Base - Shade - Light), you can paint metallic surfaces with volume, atmosphere, and clear light definition - without giving up the authentic shine of real metal.
Light [高光]:
Colors designed to brighten the Base tones. These are lighter, more luminous versions of the 20 Base colors and can be blended in different ratios to achieve intermediate highlights.
Their fine finish allows for seamless transitions and smooth color gradients.
How to use: Apply with a brush.
Base [底層]:
Featuring a new formulation with metallic effect pigments, these colors deliver a striking finish with a scale-appropriate shine.
Their high coverage makes them ideal for basecoating, with a smooth, even finish and excellent self-leveling properties.
Colors can be mixed together to create new tones.
How to use: Apply with a brush.
Shade [陰影]:
Designed for shading the Base colors.
With a satin finish, that preserves the shine of the underlying Base layer, the washes are a darker, non-metallic version of the 20 Base tones.
Their rich pigmentation and controlled flow enable subtle shading in mid-tones and strong definition in recessed areas.
They can be diluted with water to create gradient effects in the shadows and the colors are fully mixable.
How to use: Apply with a brush.
Airbrush [直接噴塗]:
20 base colors specifically formulated for airbrush application.
These colors are chromatically matched to the Base colors.
They offer a homogeneous finish and excellent color intensity.
The are ready to use straight from the bottle, though they can be thinned with Airbrush Thinner for more subtle effects.
Excessive thinning may lead to uneven finishes.
How to use: Apply with an airbrush.
Packaging: Game Color is presented in bottles of 18 ml/0.6 fl oz with eyedropper. This packaging prevents the paint from evaporating and drying in the container, so that It can be used in minimal quantities and preserved for a long time.
